Meet The Team


Ines Guerra

I came to Ireland in 1999 after I finished my degree in Business and Tourism in Spain and I joined the accommodation team in the Mespil Hotel  as an accommodation assistant. My goal was to learn English, but I got an unexpected start to my future career.  

When I left the Mespil Hotel I was a Deputy Accom. Manager. In 2003 I joined the luxury Merrion Hotel were I learned all the values of high standards. In 2006 I opened the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport and after that few more hotels in the Carlton Group.

I became amember of IASI few years ago and in 2010 with the support of my husband and my boss I became the IASI president. I can affirm that both my personal and professional journeys have been positively impact by my involvement in IASI. 



Mary Flannery

 I Studied Hotel and Catering Management in Athlone institute of technology.  After a few years in Food and beverage I got my calling to Accommodation.  I started working as a room attendant in London and worked my way up.  I worked in a number of 5* hotels in London which culminated in the opening of the 5* Sofitel St James hotel as Executive Accommodation Manager. 

I returned to Ireland in 2003 to take the position of Executive Accommodation manager in Ashford Castle in Cong Co.Mayo, where I have worked since. I joined the IASI in 2004 and have held a number of positions on council and am currently Vice President.

Josephine Ryan

I joined the Red Cow Moran Hotel in 1996 as Accommodation Supervisor. When the Management position came up in 2004 I applied and was successful.

I got involved in IASI through my previous manager and now 4 years later I’m on Council as Secretary.

I enjoy being on council and get to meet a  lot of new people, it has given me a lot more confidence in my own position as Secretary and in my job as Manager.


Irina Kuczabinski

I came in Ireland in February 2004 and started to work in Berkeley Court Hotel as house assistant. It was very new for me because in Romania I was a mechanical engineer. Shortly I became an Accommodation supervisor through hard work and dedication, in 2006 I became Accommodation Manager at The Regency Airport Hotel.

I joined the team in The Croke Park hotel in July 2007. Since last year our hotel is a member of the association and I became a council member at the end of the year. Being a member of the IASI opened my horizons due to the contact with the other Accommodation Managers from all over Ireland. 


Hannah Duignan

I Started work in Ryan`s Hotel Killarney in the in-house laundry and after a few weeks went into the Accommodation department as some of their staff were sick. Continued to work at week-ends and holidays while I studied and three more Summers later still working in the Accommodation department I did my Leaving Cert and then went on to do the Hotel  Cert Course through the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney.

When I had completed the course I changed hotels to work in the International Hotel in Killarney in Accommodation. In  October 1977 when I was offered a job with Emerald Star Line a Cruiser company owned by Guinness`s which was based in Carrick-On-Shannon. I remained with this company for 21 years as a Junior Manager checking the cruisers before they went on hire.

In 1999 I worked for the Forest Park Hotel in Boyle in the F&B department and in 2003 was offered the  position of Accommodation Manager for the new Ramada Hotel which was opening in 2003 in Drumshanbo. In Oct 2008 I was offered the position of Accommodation Manager of Lough Rynn Castle & Gardens in Mohill which is where I work to this present day.

Marian Murnane 

I did my hotel training in Hotel Management in the Regional Technical College Galway.  After this I worked in Dromoland Castle,  at this time the Clare Inn was owned by the same company Marmac Corporation in the States owner Mr. B.P. McDonough. 

I joined the Clare Inn as Reservations Manager and after three years I moved on to Assistant Manager.  I  had this position for thirteen years and I left on maternity leave. When I returned to hotels 6 years with young children so I moved into Accommodation. 

Ingrid Brett

I am currently accommodation services manager in Stewart's care, Dublin and has been working there since 2005.

I have been member of the IASI for eight years and have been on the council for three years. I have a degree in hotel and catering management. I have previously worked in hotel in Galway and Dublin in accommodation management and duty management positions

Joan Walsh

I am the Accommodation Manager in The Slieve Russell Hotel, Co. Cavan.  I completed my training in the CIT Cork  in 1996 and since then I have worked my way from Accommodation Supervisor to Assistant Accommodation Manager, and in January 2007 I was promoted to my current role as Accommodation Manager.

I have been a member of the IASI for a few years now but only recently joined the council. Being part of this organisation has given me the opportunity to meet new people working in the same field and an opportunity to share our experiences. 

Moira Gibson

I am the Executive housekeeper at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa. My career has spanned all hotel departments but housekeeping has always been my passion.

I have been a member of the IASI for many years and have always found it a great forum for the meeting of like minded people.

Agnieszka Kaczmarek-Mocsari

I am a graduate of Hotel Management from Academy of Hotel Management and Catering Industry in Poland, who has successfully worked in the hospitality industry in Ireland since 2004.

I started my career in Accommodation as an Accommodation Assistant in 4* Crowne Plaza Dublin Northwood.  In 2005 I moved to Quality Hotel Cardiff Lane as an Accommodation Assistant, where I was member of the hotel pre-opening team. Following on from this, I was promoted to supervisor shortly after the hotel opened. In 2009 I got a position of Senior Accommodation Supervisor in Trinity Capital Hotel, where I also managed the team for several months.

Since then I have been involved in two pre-openings. One being the 4* Gibson Hotel and my most recent challenge,  Accommodation Manager in The Marker Hotel, where I am responsible for day to day running and monitoring of accommodation department, while ensuring that the highest standards are met.


Jackie Wade

Accommodation Manager at The Lodge at Doonbeg, I studied accountancy at Kingston college UK, worked in accountancy for eight years then went to the US where I became a house manager. 

When I returned from the State I joined Doonbeg as Reservations Manager was then offered a position as Sales and Event Manager for Killeen Castle Co. Meath, where I was involved in running three Ladies Irish Opens and

The Solheim Cup, I returned to Doonbeg in Oct 2012 to my current position. 


Cliona Barrett 

Originally I trained as a Chef in the Cork Institute of Technology and my culinary career has mainly been abroad with time spent in England, France, Switzerland and America. Whilst working in America I moved into front of house management and loved it! I subsequently returned to France where I spent a few years working and training in front of house management.

I am currently the Hotel Services manager in the Galway Clinic since its opening in June 2004 when initially I was responsible for the clinic’s food service team. The accommodation services were contracted out at the beginning but in 2006 it was decided to bring it in house and so began a new learning curve for me!!! 

My team and I are delighted to have become a member of the IASI.
